Summer Camp Showdown turns our camp into a lively, kid-friendly game show experience for preschoolers and elementary students! Campers participate in age-appropriate activities like music and movement, art, building, problem-solving, and games. Preschoolers enjoy hands-on challenges that build confidence and early social skills, while older children tackle creative, teamwork-based activities. With laughter, cheering, and plenty of opportunities to try new things, Summer Camp Showdown features a mix of physical games, brain teasers, and creative activities designed to build confidence, cooperation, and joy.

Step into the spotlight during Southfield’s Got Talent Week, a fun-filled camp where campers explore singing, dancing, acting, and creative challenges inspired by popular talent shows like The Voice, American Idol, and Chopped. Through age-appropriate activities—including line dancing, rhythm games, mini performances, and hands-on creative projects—children build confidence, teamwork, and self-expression. The week ends with a supportive, celebratory showcase where every camper shines, making summer full of imagination, fun, and pride!

Our Community Impact week will offer campers the chance to explore the power of making a difference by connecting with inspiring members of our community, including first responders, business owners, nonprofit leaders, doctors, lawyers, teachers and more. Through hands-on activities, interactive discussions, and service-focused projects, children learn how giving back and helping others can make a real impact—while also enriching their own lives and filling their “cups” with pride, empathy, and confidence. This camp encourages teamwork, curiosity, and reflection, showing campers that everyone has the ability to create positive change both in their community and in themselves.

Party in the USA (Camp Edition) invites campers to celebrate all things American through a week of hands-on, patriotic activities leading up to the 4th of July! Students explore U.S. history, symbols, and traditions while engaging in creative arts, music, movement, and team-building games. From designing flags and crafting Liberty Bells to parades, line dances, and Olympic-style challenges, campers develop teamwork, confidence, and creativity while learning about community, citizenship, and the rich diversity that makes our country special—all while having a fun, memorable summer experience.

Going for the Gold combines the excitement of Olympic-style games with a journey through cultures from across the globe! Campers participate in fun, age-appropriate physical challenges like relays, obstacle courses, and team competitions, while also learning about different countries, their flags, traditions, music, and customs. This dynamic week encourages teamwork, confidence, curiosity, and global awareness, giving campers a unique opportunity to explore the world, celebrate diversity, and shine both on and off the “field of play.”

Maker Mania is a hands-on, creativity-filled experience where campers bring their ideas to life! Students explore building and designing with materials like LEGOs, building blocks, wood, popsicle sticks, and more, transforming drawings and imaginative concepts into real-world creations. This camp provides time to tinker, experiment, and manipulate materials with their hands, encouraging problem-solving, innovation, and self-expression while giving every camper the chance to see their creative thoughts take shape in exciting, tangible ways.

Southfield Lagniappe is a fun-filled, variety-packed experience where each day features a unique mini-theme for campers to explore! From festive Christmas in July and adventurous Western Day to Tie-Dye Day and more, campers enjoy hands-on activities, creative projects, games, and themed challenges. This camp sparks curiosity, creativity, and teamwork, giving children the chance to try new experiences, express themselves, and celebrate something exciting every day.

STEAM Summer Camp: Be a Scientist, Be a Chemist! is a hands-on, creative learning experience for students in rising 1st–rising 6th grade that blends chemistry, engineering, and real-world science. Campers explore how chemistry connects to everyday life—medicine, the environment, and materials—through safe experiments and STEAM challenges like designing slime, testing water, and exploring color reactions. Working together, students think critically, solve problems, and gain confidence while approaching challenges like real scientists. This camp sparks curiosity, encourages collaboration, and helps children see themselves as future innovators and STEAM leaders.

Pinkies up! During this delightful week, campers will learn basic tea etiquette, create fancy tea party hats, help prepare tea-time treats and drinks, prepare florals, and decorate the room for a special celebration. Greek Myths and Heroes Summer Camp invites kids in rising 1st–rising 6th grade to step into the exciting world of Greek mythology! Campers explore legendary stories, meet gods and heroes, and discover how myths inspire books, movies, and storytelling today. Through hands-on activities, creative arts, games, and team challenges—like myth-inspired art, epic quest role-play, mini “ancient” building, and Olympic-style competitions—children develop creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and confidence. This immersive adventure makes mythology come alive, offering unforgettable summer fun where every camper becomes part of the legend.

Pokémon & Minecraft Summer Camp is an action-packed, imagination-driven experience for students in rising 1st–rising 6th grade who love adventure, creativity, and gaming-inspired learning. Campers explore Pokémon and Minecraft through hands-on activities, art, storytelling, building challenges, and cooperative games—designing Pokémon characters, creating Minecraft-style worlds, and tackling quests and engineering-style challenges. Through teamwork, problem-solving, and creative play, students build confidence, friendships, and skills while bringing their favorite game worlds to life beyond the screen.

Join Ms. Susie for a creative, hands-on specialty camp designed especially for rising 4s through rising Kindergarten! During this week-long Smart Art session, young artists will explore painting, sculpture, and mixed-media projects inspired by masters like Michelangelo, Picasso, Leonardo da Vinci, and Georges Seurat. Each day blends art history, storytelling, and engaging studio experiences that nurture creativity, confidence, and fine-motor development. Children will experiment with famous techniques in a playful, supportive environment while creating their own one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

LEGO Stop-Motion Summer Camp is a hands-on creative experience for students in rising 1st–rising 6th grade who love building and storytelling. Campers will use LEGO bricks to design characters and sets, then learn how to turn their creations into short movies using stop-motion animation techniques. Students will explore storyboarding, frame-by-frame filming, and adding simple sound effects while building creativity, patience, and teamwork skills. By the end of camp, each camper will have their own mini animation project to share and be proud of.

Welcome to Craftapolooza, a fun and creative experience for elementary school aged children! Campers will explore a variety of crafts including painting, embroidery, collage, and more. Through hands-on projects, children will build fine motor skills, express their creativity, and create unique masterpieces. Most importantly, campers will have fun, make friends, and feel proud of their creations!

Join us for a creative week of hands-on ceramics! Campers will explore a variety of hand-building techniques as they sculpt a pinch-pot animal or monster, a nature-inspired plate, and design a functional piece such as a vase, pencil holder, or small planter. Along the way, artists will experiment with shaping, texture, and glazing while building confidence and creativity in ceramics. Please note: Because clay must fully dry and be kiln-fired, finished pieces will be ready for pick-up approximately 1–2 weeks after camp concludes.

Sports and Recreation Impact Camp gives campers the chance to play, compete, and grow through a variety of sports and recreational activities, including soccer, pickleball, basketball, and wiffle ball. Beyond developing athletic skills, campers engage in fun team-building challenges, recreation games, and exercises that promote mental toughness, perseverance, and character development. This camp emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence, helping each child grow both on and off the field while making friends and having a blast!

During camp, each child will design, construct, and decorate their very own model house! Young architects will completely customize their own house including painting, printing wallpaper, building furniture, and creating characters. Your child could design a house for pets, a superhero hide-out, a fire station, a dream world… the possibilities are endless!

Let’s Chill! Ice, Ice Baby is a cool and exciting preschool week filled with ice play and exploration. Campers will paint with ice, race melting cubes, and enjoy sensory activities while learning about Arctic animals and cold habitats. It’s a fun, hands-on way to explore science and nature while staying cool!

Campers will experiment with different materials and techniques while creating unique, take-home creations each day. Calling all rising 1st through rising third graders who love to cook, taste, and explore new flavors! Join Ms. Susie for a fun, hands-on morning cooking camp where young chefs prepare healthy snacks and at least one delicious, family-friendly meal they can proudly recreate at home. A flexible palate is recommended as we mix, chop, measure, and discover new foods together! Each day focuses on simple kitchen skills, teamwork, and confidence-building while kids learn how ingredients come together to make real meals. Campers will leave with a collection of recipes compiled especially for take-home use — perfect for sharing their new skills with family.

Our two-week Musical Theatre Camp invites students to step into the spotlight as they bring The Aristocats to life! Campers will be cast in a role and spend the session developing acting, movement, and performance skills through rehearsals, games, and creative exploration. The experience culminates in a final performance on Friday, July 24, where campers proudly showcase their hard work for family and friends, creating unforgettable memories on stage.
