Welcome from the Head of School
Sunny Huckaby
Sunny Huckaby
Sunny joined Southfield in 2008 in the Lower School before becoming the Preschool Director. She returned to Southfield in 2022 as the Head of School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Louisiana Preschool Certification from Northwestern. Sunny came to Southfield in 2008 with 11 years of classroom experience and returned to Southfield in 2022 with 3 additional years of experience in independent school leadership. She has two children who are Southfield alumni.
Lacie Kennedy
Lacie joined Southfield in 2012 as a Preschool Assistant before becoming a Preschool Lead Teacher. In 2024, Lacie became the Preschool Director. Lacie earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s in Education from Louisiana Tech University. She has three children who currently attend Southfield.
Nicci Bandermann
Nicci joined Southfield in 2022 as the Lower School Director. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Nicci came to Southfield with 17 years of classroom experience. She has two children who currently attend Southfield.
Kirstin Cloutier-Spinelli
Kirstin joined Southfield as a Mentor Teacher and Educational Leader Site Coach before joining the administrative team as Middle School Director in 2022. Kirstin earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and a master’s degree from Northeastern University. Kirstin came to Southfield with 15 years of classroom experience. She has three children, one Southfield alum and two who currently attend Southfield.
Lesley Brice
Lesley joined Southfield in 2007 teaching math and serving as the Student Advisory Coordinator in the Middle School before she became Southfield’s Admissions Director in 2019. Lesley earned her bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Texas Christian University. Lesley came to Southfield with 5 years of classroom experience. She has two children who are Southfield alumni.
Andy Hitt
Andy joined Southfield in 2023 as the Director of IT. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science and Accounting from Centenary College. Andy came to Southfield with 17 years of IT experience in private schools.
Don Woodard
Don joined Southfield in 2022 as the Co-Director of Facilities before becoming the Facilities Director. He earned his bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Louisiana Tech University. Don came to Southfield with 34 years of facility maintenance supervision.
Morris Inabnet
Morris joined Southfield in 2024 as the Finance Director. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Louisiana Tech and his master’s from Dallas Theological Seminary. Morris practiced as a CPA and CFP for over 30 years before selling his business and joining Southfield
Amanda Felan
Amanda joined Southfield in 2024 as the Advancement Director. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of New Orleans and her master’s degree in Social Work and Nonprofit Management from the University of Georgia. Amanda came to Southfield with 10 years of experience in Advancement and Development in nonprofits. She has two children who currently attend Southfield.
Shani Crawford
Shani joined Southfield in 2013 and taught many grades in the Middle School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Baylor University. Shani has six years of classroom experience. Shani has two children who currently attend Southfield.
