Letter from the Director

I am thrilled to share what makes Southfield’s Preschool program such a magical experience. Walk through the halls of Southfield’s Preschool Building, and you’ll find joy in every corner. Children engaged, curious, and immersed in meaningful play. As a play-based program, we believe learning happens best through hands-on exploration and discovery. Our goal is to spark a lifelong love of learning. We nurture eager, inquisitive young minds and help build the character, empathy, and respect that will empower them to make a positive impact on the world. At Southfield, learning is active. Every subject, whether it’s early literacy, science, sensory exploration, or social-emotional development is grounded in play. We focus daily on building life skills, social and emotional skills, critical thinking, and confidence. Our Preschool is a joyful, intentional program designed to challenge and support every child. Our excellent teachers are committed to each child’s growth and development. They model kindness, respect, a love for nature, and the values of responsible citizenship. We’re proud to offer a preschool experience that’s rich in meaning, filled with wonder, and designed to inspire lifelong learners.
