Letter from the Director

Middle School at Southfield School is a time of growth and discovery. The academic curriculum exceeds state standards, with math, ELA, and science aligned to national benchmarks. Our carefully crafted approach emphasizes inquiry-based and project-based learning. We strive to meet each learner where they are while encouraging them to stretch, grow, and think critically across all subject areas. Beyond academics, our middle school fosters creativity through enrichment options. Students can explore electives such as newspaper, watercolor, technical theatre, and filmmaking. These unique opportunities help our students grow into well-rounded individuals. Our faculty members are inspired educators who care immensely about their students and the subjects they teach. Each classroom reflects a strong commitment to learning and student growth. We aim to help students become not only capable scholars but kind individuals who contribute positively to their communities. It is my goal that every student leaves middle school not only prepared for the rigors of high school, but also equipped with the curiosity, and character that will serve them for life.
