Pumpkin Shine

Join us for one of Northwest Louisiana’s favorite fall traditions! Southfield School’s 34th Annual Pumpkin Shine, hosted in partnership with SPAR, will light up Betty Virginia Park on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 4:00–8:00 p.m.

Each year, thousands of carved and painted pumpkins created by students from schools across our community transform the park into a glowing celebration of creativity. Pumpkin Shine brings families together for an evening filled with incredible pumpkin displays, live performances from local students, food, fun, and plenty of fall spirit.

As part of Southfield’s commitment to fostering creativity and giving back to our community, Pumpkin Shine also celebrates and supports art education throughout the area. Local judges will recognize outstanding pumpkin creations, with $1,500 in cash awards benefiting participating schools’ art programs, along with individual prizes and recognition.

Admission is free, and complimentary iShuttle transportation will be available from 4:00–8:00 p.m. from Mall St. Vincent.

Come walk the pumpkin-lined paths, cheer on local performers, and experience a Shreveport tradition that has been bringing our community together for 34 years!
