MUsic Class

Music is an integral part of the Southfield curriculum from Preschool through Middle School.

PLAYS And Programs

From Kindergarten through 6th grade, students participate in grade-level musical performances. 7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to take part in a fully-staged musical production.

Music Lessons

The only Centenary Suzuki School satellite school, Southfield offers students a chance to take private lessons in violin, viola, and cello during the school day. Private lessons are also available in piano and guitar.

Eagle Singers

Eagle Singers, Southfield’s Middle School choral group, is open to any 5th-8th grade student.

Southfield has a strong commitment to the fine arts. The performing arts are integrated into the curriculum for all Southfield students. In addition to bi-weekly music classes, students in Kindergarten through 6th grade participate in grade-level musical performances. 7th and 8th-grade students have the opportunity to take part in a fully-staged musical production.

Satellite program

Violin, viola, and cello students at Southfield School enjoy private lessons each week during school hours, based on a time conducive to the practice parent, private teacher, and classroom teacher.
