Southfield School

Learning Center
Southfield Learning Center is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of students with  reading difficulties and language-based learning differences. Our team of highly trained teachers use the Orton-Gillingham approach to provide focused instruction both individually and in small groups. This program, designed for students in Grades K-4, delivers core literacy instruction in small groups led by Orton-Gillingham certified teachers.

This year, we are piloting a new Executive Functioning program for students in Grades 5-8. This addition is designed to provide your child with the best possible support, ensuring their academic skills are strengthened and their executive functioning abilities are nurtured. They will be able to work with one of our reading specialists, who will tailor their support to each child’s unique needs.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between each student’s cognitive potential and academic achievement, fostering academic success and a lifelong love of learning.
