Drop off & Donuts: August 11th Whether you are saying goodbye to your little one for the first time or a veteran at “first day drop off,” come and grab some coffee and donuts.
PA Soiree: August 23th & 25th Come mix and mingle with light hors d’oeuvres before you get down to serious business at Open House. There will also be a surprise performance presented to you by the Parent’s Association.
Parent’s Association Meeting: September 7th Breakfast, coffee, juice and ALL the details on the year to come.
Fall Fete: September 24th Step right up for some good old fashioned fun! This all family social offers the opportunity to meet new and established Southfield families in a relaxing environment. There will be food, games, and FUN for all ages!
Red River Revel: October 1st- Octboer 8th. All hands on deck! Each year, Southfield Parent’s Association sponsors a food booth at the Red River Revel (Shreveport’s community-wide arts festival). Parents and faculty volunteer their time to work in the booth during REVEL week. Each grade level is assigned a day to volunteer.
Pumpkin Shine on Line: October 26th Southfield School with Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation proudly sponsors this event each year. Hundreds of carved pumpkins shine along the pathways of Betty Virginia Park. Admission is free and there is food and entertainment.
Fall Book Fair: November 15th-18th Book Fair is a tradition almost as old as the school itself. The Book Fair Chairmen select books, authors, and activities that will delight new and old alike.
Grandparents & Friends Luncheon: November 18th It’s always a fun day on campus for our students to show their grandparents and special friends around. A delicious lunch is prepared by Southfield’s Café. A visit to the Book Fair is a must on this day!
Pie Week: March 3rd- March 11th. This week full of fundraising events is new to Southfield this year. It will combine the online auction, The Pie Run 5K, 10K, and Fun Run as well as the party where the live auction will be held. This is a fun night for parents to come together and socialize in an adult-only setting.

Teacher Appreciation Week: March 20th-24th This week is set aside each year to show our gratitude for our Southfield teachers. Snacks are provided each day in the lounges as well as a teacher and staff luncheon held on Thursday of the week.
Spring Book Fair: April 25th-28th Another chance for families to support our library. All of the Summer Reading books, Mother/Daughter Book Club, and Parent’s Book Club selections will be available for purchase as well.
Field Day: April 28th A day full of fun and competitive games is sure to be a student favorite each year!
Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast & Final Parent’s Association Meeting: May 10th The final meeting of the school year is set aside for the Parent’s Association to thank our many volunteers that have helped make a successful year. Incoming officers will be voted in/named for the next school year.
