One of our teams placed 5th in the team competition. Members of this team were Bradley Potts, Jonathan Li, Macy Scott, and Jacob Kesten. Overall, teams and individuals scored together, Southfield placed 4th. The amazing part of this is that our students were competing against middle and high schools from all over the state!

Over the weekend, the Norwela Cub Scout Council held their Spring Cub Mobile races in Bossier. All the packs in Northwest LA are invited. Seventh graders who qualify for the DUKE Talent ID program get the opportunity to take a practice run on the SAT. Of our group who were recognized this year, 8 chose to take the test. Middle School students participated in the Arkansas Foreign Language Teachers Association State Competitionin April. Southfield took 2nd place for French Drama (Bradley Potts, Will Flowers, Amy Beth Shirley, Lauren Carey, Logan Green and Graeme Weinland). On level 1 French, we took 2nd (Logan Green) and 3rd (Bradley Potts) place in Extemporaneous Reading; 3rd place in Poetry Recitation (Graeme Weinland); and 3rd place in Extemporaneous Speaking (Lauren Carey).
