This week we enjoyed playing with “snow”. We learned a song about winter items. Boots, Mittens Scarf and HatBoots Mittens, Scarf and Hat                                         I ‘ll be warm when I put on all of thatBoots, Mitttens, Scarf and HatScarf and Hat(tune of head shoulders knees and toes)In honor of Martin Luther King Jr.day there will be no school on Monday  January 16th.On Tuesday, we will read Caps for Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina. This story has been enjoyed by generations. Children love the funny antics in the story and the repetitive storyline. If you don’t own a copy of this book please consider getting one or borrowing one from the library. We will act the story out. Please send a hat to school with your child on Wednesday. Please label the hat with your child’s name. We will send the hats home on Friday. We will make a class book about hats and we will talk about who wears hats to work and who doesn’t. We will sing “Five Little Monkeys Swinging in the Tree” and monkey around with some art materials. Keep up the good work on toilet learning! Remember that we all have the same goal in mind; independent toileting! With some luck and patience, we will have some good stories to tell their grandchildren someday.
