Wow, we are enjoying this beautiful spring weather. We are going on lots of walks and watering the plants all over campus. We are busy with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. We are loving planting seeds and watching them sprout. We are going to the big field to pick flowers and looking for bugs in the grass. It is a wonderful time to be a toddler at Southfield School. We will continue to have fun with babies next week. We have learned songs about putting the babies to sleep and taking care of babies. We have had doctor visits for the babies and even experienced a few diaper disasters (imaginary poo on the floor)! The kids laughed and laughed about the diaper dilemma!

We have had fun watering plants around campus with spray bottles and tending to our garden. Our garden has brought us a lot of joy! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our strawberries and blueberries! YUM!

Spring is in full bloom around campus. We watched as the azalea bushes outside our door blossomed their beautiful flowers. We will transition into a unit on plants and flowers. We will talk about the life cycle of a plant. We will plant seeds and watch them sprout. We will talk about what plants need to grow and learn a song about what helps plants grow. Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. It is such a joy to be all together again. Today we enjoyed some of our favorite stories and songs such as Brown Bear and twinkle, twinkle little star. It was a nice way to transition back to our classroom routines.
