Preschool Physical Education Program

Preschool students are given the opportunity for outdoor play daily, and allowance is made for gross motor activities within the classroom as well. Daily time with the music teacher also provides opportunities for gross motor movement. Emphasis is placed on using and strengthening large muscles, body awareness, and limited risk taking. Our preschool playground provides a variety of challenges for young children in these areas.

Kindergarten Physical Education Program

The focus of kindergarten students is on learning basic body control while moving in a variety of settings. Students become aware of strength, endurance, and flexibility in different parts of their bodies. This first year of education program sets the stage for the entire curriculum by helping our young students develop their lifelong love of physical activity.
