FIRST GRADE WEEKLY NEWS

May 21 - 25, 2012

Reading/Language Arts:  We will discuss the “aw” and “all” sounds in words. We will be working on “End of Year Assessments”.

Spelling:  Test on 50 top first grade spelling words.

Math:  We will review math facts of sums to 20; discuss fractions and symmetry.  End of the year assessment.

Science:     We will discuss living and non-living things.  Review our Social Studies and Science books.

Reminders:          Wed. May 23, 2012 – End of year 1^st grade party.

                                      Bring beach towels, favorite books, sack lunch,

                                      and favorite ice cream topping.

                             We will start at 11:00 lunch time and picnic on the   

                                      back field. We will eat lunch and then have     

                                      Ice cream and cookie cake and then recess.
