Southfield School’s 6^th-8^th Cheer Squad attended the NCA camp hosted at Byrd High School this summer. It was a camp with Middle School, Junior High and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders.

The group was recognized as Outstanding Cheer Team and they received a bid for National Competition. The squad also won the following awards: First place NCA Champion Chant; First Place NCA Top Team Performance; Daily Evaluations – 3 superior ratings, 1 outstanding rating

Spirit Stick; Day Two – “Herkie Award” (voted on by other squads for being the squad they most want to be). Thirteen girls on the squad were nominated for All-American Cheerleader and of those, Jayden Barnes, Molly Bowman, and Macy Scott were elected All-American. Molly Bowman was the highest scorer in the entire camp for All American tryouts and was recognized in “dance off” competition. Macy Scott won the Captain’s Leadership Award for entire camp. Eva Paul was recognized for her positive contribution from NCA staff.
