One of the first acts of this student council was to run a collection for the Veterans Transitional Living Program.  Sponsored by the VOA, this 56-bed transitional shelter provides food and shelter for homeless, single men. Southfield middle school families donated 157 tubes of toothpaste, 566 razors, 209 bars or bottles of soap and 43 containers of shaving cream!

On Wednesday, December 7, at 1:00, our student council members delivered these items to the Veterans home located at the corner of Jordan and Highland.
