September 5 - September 9

Theme:  “How are You Feeling” and Yellow

Literacy and Language:  We will read Happy, Mad, Silly, Sad, Sometimes I’m Bombaloo, and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Stars.

Art Activities: We will make lemon prints and glittery star shaped wands.

Discovery and Sensory:  Yellow playdough is at the playdough table this week and we will explore the texture of lemon pudding.  We will also see how much juice we can get out of lemons.

Math:  Stars are our shape for the week.  We will practice counting 1 – 10 with stars.

Cooking:  On Thursday we will make Yummy Banana Pudding.  If we are good juicers we will also make lemonade

Parents Corner:  Parents at back to school night received handouts including an NAEYC survey.  It is important to our accreditation that we get these surveys back.  I will be sending them home on Monday to those of you who did not get one Thursday night.   Please let me know if you have not received a blue survey sheet.  I have extras!  I will also send home some general preschool information that you may enjoy reading.  As always, thank you for the privilege of teaching your precious children!
