August 29 - September 2

Theme:  My Family and the color Blue

Literacy and Language:  We will read The Napping House, I Love My Family and Blueberries for Sal.

Art Activities: We will make blue bubble prints, paint with blue balloons, and make a blue collage.

Discovery and Sensory:  Blue playdough is at the playdough table this week.  We will also string cheerios on blue pipecleaners.

Math:  We will talk about squares and make blue negative space square paintings.  We will also race the timer in square and circle sorting.

Cooking:  On Thursday we will make blueberry muffins.  Also this week we will make rice crispy squares.

Parents Corner:  Thursday night is Back to School Night.  It will begin in the gym at 6:30 and then you will be dismissed to join us in your child’s room.

All the children are adjusting so well.  They are a joy!  Hope to see you Thursday night.
