Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. It is such a joy to be all together again. Today we enjoyed some of our favorite stories and songs such as Brown Bear and twinkle, twinkle little star. It was a nice way to transition back to our classroom routines.

This week we will begin our holiday festivities with gingerbread fun! We will read several versions of The Gingerbread Man. Outside we will act out “Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man.” We will use our fine motor skills when we grind cinnamon. We will measure and mix flour, oats, and spices in our sensory table. This week we will have loads of turkey fun. We will learn two new turkey poems and reinforce color names and taking turns as we have fun with our new poems at circle time. We are looking forward to making turkey handprints. We will read a silly turkey book and gobble like turkeys. These are the words to our “TurkeyTune”
