Kristen Roberson first joined the Southfield staff as an assistant teacher in the preschool program in 2007. In 2010 she became lead teacher in our second PS-2 Exploration class. She has 14 experience in education and is mom to two Southfield middle school students. |

This week we will introduce the classic Eric Carle book Brown Bear, Brown Bear. Young children love this book because of the bold bright illustrations, the repetition and the predictability. We will use this book to introduce colors, sequence, matching and to name the animals. If you do not own this book, please buy a copy for your child or visit the library to check one out.

We had a great first week of school with our Peek A Boo unit. Soon we will send home a class book of all our friends’ pictures. Please “read “this book with your child and send it back to school. We will be working with the children on getting to know everyone’s name in the class.
