First grade teacher Debbie Noone has been a member of the Southfield faculty for 26 years. She has 31 years experience in education and a BA and certification in early childhood and elementary education from Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge as well as a BS in Speech Therapy from Louisiana Tech University.

Welcome to First Grade
In First grade we will go beyond teaching the basic skills and simple mastery into creative thinking and critical problem solving. Many of our best lessons will not be on a piece of paper in the Friday folder, but rather in growth and understanding that comes from hard work, cooperation and accomplishment.
