Spring has sprung in the Exploration class. We are enjoying lots of active outdoor play and have even ventured to the soccer field for a new adventure. Please remember to apply sunscreen on your children before school each morning. You are welcome to send sunscreen to school to be re-applied in the afternoon.

April 9th-13th

We hope everyone enjoyed the long Easter weekend. We have had so much fun hiding eggs and learning about animals that come from eggs. Toddlers love to fill and dump baskets full of eggs.

 

We will begin a two week unit on nursery rhymes. When we take our daily walk, we will get a chance to practice being Humpty Dumpty. There is a low wall in the Middle School courtyard ...

Here comes Peter Cottontail hopping down the Southfield trail!

We had a lot of fun this week with rainbows and shamrocks. We made rainbows with sidewalk chalk and played a jumping game with the rainbows. While blowing bubbles on the playground, we discovered you can see a rainbow in a bubble.

March 5, 2012

We enjoyed exploring Zoo animals the last couple of weeks. We learned many animal names and practiced their sounds loudly and softly. We loved reading Polar Bear, Polar Bear  and singing “Daddy’s Taking Us to the Zoo Tomorrow”.
