 Next week will learn about groundhogs. We will find out where they live, what they eat and even sing a song about them. We will act like groundhogs and pop out of our burrows. Only in preschool is Groundhog’s Day considered a major holiday.

 We will begin painting beautiful Valentine hearts to show you how much you are loved. We are going to add collaged hearts to them also.

We have had great fun reading and  retelling the story of Caps for Sale. Ask your child what the monkeys said to the peddler. The children are so cute when they act out the story.

 

This week we will have tons of fun with Teddy Bears. Please send a teddy to school on Tuesday that can stay all week. Please label the teddy if possible. We will learn a teddy dance, do “the bear bounce

This week we have enjoyed reading The Mitten by Jan Brett, playing mitten match, having a “snowball fight” in The Commons and playing in “snow” in our sensory table.

Next week we will have more winter fun when we learn about penguins.

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day there will be no school on Monday  January 16th.
